the luxuries of an 18 year old with semi-loaded parents

i called my mom today to ask her to forward me a bit of cash to buy a couple 1/4" cables. i talked to her for a little bit. the usual stuff.

the subject of my house being sold came up. a little background info, my house is owned by an individual person and is rented by a real estate company. apparently the woman who owns it wants to sell it. we're worried the buyer will either raise our rent (currently 275 a month, which is extremely cheap for a house on dresden row) or not want to rent at all (which means i have no where to live in 3 months)
so my parents are thinking about buying the house, if it's affordable. if they bought it, we would be guaranteed a place to live for the next few years and our rent won't increase.

my mother's birthday is in june. i plan on giving her something very nice.
