the new house is lovely. we got a bed a few days ago. it's nice to not have to sleep on the floor.
my hair is growing very fast. by summer it will be past my shoulders. that's my prediction.

my dad's back is hurt. he went from being fine to being bed ridden. i don't exactly know what happened.
well i guess it's just another goddamn asshole cop getting what he deserves

i watched such films as 'hot spell' and 'the matchmaker' with my grandmother.
then i'd watched such films as 'terms of endearment' 'guarding tess' 'the evening star' and my favorite 'steel magnolias' with my mother. two generations, two shirley maclaines.
i would watch shirley maclaine movies with my hypothetical kid, if any of the movies she made recently were any good. bewitched? no dice.
i guess my kid will just have to watch shirley maclaine movies with his grandma and his great grandma.

i love chick flicks.
they're sad, but they're usually also funny.
because shirley maclaine is usually in them.

last night craig and i watched steel magnolias and we both cried. although we both hate julia roberts, the rest of the cast is pretty stellar. craig's got a pretty huge crush on dolly parton. pre-third boob job and face cave in dolly parton.

today we're going to drink wine and watch raiders of the lost arc on our couch.
if anyone wants to help move a bed tomorrow, that'd be cool.

except a new apartment.

i also got digital cable, which is probably going to ruin my life. we get all these channels free for 3 months. i'm going to get hooked on them and have to buy them. dammit.
i'm already hooked on one. the drive-in classics channel. all 1950-1980 drive in movies all day.
